Alex Travers is a violinist living, performing, teaching and working in the city of Asheville NC. Born 1991 in upstate NY, he moved down and was raised in NC. Attaining his performance degree from Appalachian State University and studying pedagogy at Juilliard school of music during the summers, his style and experience ranges anywhere from Baroque to electronic and studios to concert halls. Absorbing every experience like a sponge, he is likely to squeeze the most out of any piece, performance, project or opportunity that crosses his path.  Musical influences include Phillip Glass, Elliott Smith, the Pixies, Andrew Bird,  J.S. Bach, Buckethead, and many others. Currently he is working with artists and musicians as a violinist collaborator, teacher, performer, and songwriter in the western North Carolina region.
